Industry Peers

The industry to which the selected security belongs is displayed in the heading. For example, Software Industry Peers.

There are four tabs containing information about the company’s industry peers:

• The Overview tab displays information about the companies within the selected industry:

The market value of a company's outstanding shares. This figure is found by taking the stock price and multiplying it by the total number of shares outstanding.

• P/E Ratio

A ratio of a company's current share price compared to its per share earnings. The P/E ration is calculated as: market value per share divided by earnings per share (EPS).

• EPS. Click on the company name to go to the Stocks Overview page for that company.

Earnings Per Share: The portion of a company's profit that is allocated to each outstanding share of common stock. Serves as an indicator of a company's profitability and is calculated as the Net Income minus the Dividends on Preferred Stock divided by the Average Outstanding Shares.

• The Performance tab displays information about the performance of companies within the selected industry. Performance information for today, 1 month, 1 year, and total return is displayed.

• The News tab displays articles that are related to the industry peers for the selected security. The age of the article is indicated by the color of the text below the headline. Articles that are less than 1 day old are indicated by orange text. Articles older than a day are indicated by grey text.
