"The model is good," he says, adding Li Auto may face uncertainties amid intensifying competition in the near term, especially given rival Aito will launch its facelift model M5 next week. Media reports on Mexico's more cautious view on China automakers may also be weighing on the sector's stocks today, he adds.   0404 GMT - Li Auto's new L6 model, a five-seater SUV, is reasonably priced, Citi analysts write in a research note. The model has adequate configurations of Pro and Max variants and they see potential for Li Auto launching a cheaper Air variant in the future, depending on market competition. Citi also assigned a high risk rating to the Li Auto ADRs as the stock is deemed to be relatively volatile based on their quantitative risk-rating model. The analysts see downside risks including weaker demand for Li Auto's products due to a sharp economic deterioration in China or defective products that may hurt its brand's reputation, and liquidity risks due to lower-than-expected sales.
