Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is a vertically integrated solid waste services company. The Company manages its solid waste operations on a geographic basis through two regional segments, the Eastern and Western regions, each of which provides a range of solid waste services. It manages its resource-renewal operations through the Resource Solutions segment, which includes recycling and commodity brokerage operations along with its organics services and, commercial and industrial services. It provides resource management and services to residential, commercial, municipal and industrial customers, primarily in the areas of solid waste collection and disposal, transfer, recycling and organics services. It operates approximately 50 solid waste collection operations, 65 transfer stations, 23 recycling facilities, eight Subtitle D landfills, three landfill gas-to-energy facilities, and one landfill permitted to accept construction and demolition (C&D) materials.
