Canyon Bancorp is a bank holding company with a single banking subsidiary, Canyon National Bank (the Bank). The Bank is an insured bank under the Federal Deposit Insurance Act and deposits are insured up to the maximum limits prescribed. The Bank provides a range of banking services to individual and corporate customers primarily located in the Coachella Valley in Southern California. The Bank is also regulated by certain federal agencies and undergoes periodic examination by those regulatory authorities. The Bank is a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco (FHLB-SF). The Company classifies its investments in securities as held to maturity securities, trading securities and available for sale securities as applicable. The Company's available for sale securities primarily consist of United States Treasury, United States Agencies, mortgage-backed securities and mutual funds.
