Home Point Capital Inc. is a residential mortgage originating and servicing company. The Company operates through two reportable segments: Origination and Servicing. Its Origination segment sources loans through three production channels: Direct, Wholesale and Correspondent. The Direct channel provides its existing servicing customers with various financing options. The Wholesale channel consists of mortgages originated through a nationwide network of broker partners. The Correspondent channel consists of closed and funded mortgages that purchased from a trusted network of correspondent partners. Its Servicing segment consists of collecting loan payments, remitting principal and interest payments to investors and managing escrow funds for the payment of mortgage-related expenses, such as taxes and insurance, performing loss mitigation activities on behalf of investors and otherwise administering its mortgage loan servicing portfolio in compliance with state and federal regulations.
