Global Self Storage, Inc. is a self-administered and self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company owns, operates, manages, acquires, and redevelops self-storage properties (stores or properties) in the United States. The Company operates through the rental operations segment. Its stores are designed to offer storage space for residential and commercial customers. In addition to traditional and climate-controlled units, many of the properties feature both covered and outside auto/RV/boat storage. The Company invests in stores by acquiring stores through its wholly owned subsidiaries. The Company owns and operates, or manages, through its wholly owned subsidiaries, approximately 13 stores located in Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Oklahoma. The Company’s properties totaled approximately 966,766 net leasable square feet and offered 7,023 storage units.
