1817 ET [Dow Jones]--Costco hasn't seen a dramatic reaction from its customer base after raising its membership fees for the first time since 2017. The wholesale retailer says it hasn't seen a change in this kind of trend, and that it delayed the membership fee increase by two years to help its consumers navigate both the pandemic and inflation. "We were very deliberate in delaying the increase until we felt that we started to see inflation dissipate and our members were spending more in non-foods categories seeing that they were coming through the inflationary period." Costco shares fall 1.1% to $891.35 in postmarket trading. (sabela.ojea@wsj.com)
