  1343 ET - Mondelez International continues to be well positioned in both emerging and developed markets despite its numerous rounds of price hikes, CFO Luca Zaramella says at the Evercore ISI Consumer & Retail Conference. Still, he expects a challenging year in the U.S., its main market. "The start to the year wasn't necessarily as we wanted it to be," Zaramella says, noting that the company is losing frequency as a category in the biscuit market, particularly across lower income consumers. "I think consumer confidence is somewhat impacted among those," the executive says.
