1114 GMT - Publicis Groupe is expected to continue to outperform advertising peers, but a strong stock performance in recent years makes it more difficult for shares to climb further, Barclays analysts Nick Dempsey and Julien Roch say in a research note. The Paris-based company's first-quarter update--due Thursday--kicks off the first-quarter reporting season for the ad-holding groups. Barclays expects Publicis to report organic net revenue growth of 4.5%, beating the rises of 3.0% and 1.5% forecast for Omnicom Group and Interpublic Group of Cos., respectively, and a 2% fall for WPP. While Publicis continues to deliver on expectations, further share gains should be harder to achieve than in the past four years given its recent performance, Barclays says.
