  1422 ET - Norfolk Southern's fast response to a board probe should lead to management-level stability following the appointment of Mark George as permanent CEO, as long as operating chief John Orr continues to operate a smooth railroad, according to SIG Susquehanna in a research note. However, the analysts say there are still questions about what the directors knew and how long they knew it, regarding former CEO Alan Shaw's reported romantic relationship with general counsel Nabanita Chaterjee Nag.
